Not sure about the info you shared above, "Sadly, ridiculously, Toyota dealers are not permitted to perform warranty work on a Lexus at the company's expense, although most Toyota dealers will perform warranty and other services on a Lexus - if the customer pays for it"
Brian and I LC owners, have received extended warranty info.
The folks at Lexus dealership shared this about the extended warranty on our LC's. They stated, "The plan is the Toyota Extra Care Platinum $0 deductible, backed directly by Toyota, so it's good at any Toyota/Lexus dealer in the US or Canada" is the info we received, just an fyi.

Understood, but I was referring to the standard Lexus warranty, not extra-charge extended warranties.

Quote: Hello everyone, have any of you tried buying an LC 500 within the last month or so. If you have how much are they selling them for over MSRP? and What have been some ridiculous fees you have seen?
Dealer in Miami charged me $20K markup over a $106K fully loaded LC500 coupe. No thank you. I don't feel like getting raped.

I was recently told that an incoming LC 500 would not have an add-on charge above MSRP, BUT, the dealer would required the exchange of wheels to upgrade to $7000 'premium' wheels. The salesman even admitted that the wheels were only about $4000 extra on normal buys. I think I will be looking at other dealers.....

Ended up buying the Lexus extended warranty 0 deductable. It covers all that the new car warranty covers, and then some. 10yrs from in service date or 100K miles. 3785.00. Peace of mind.

I have found several available now with less than 10K, which is my max mileage. Now just have to wait to see how much the IRS will leave me with after filing.

Over MSRP is the market today.

Covid has changed many many things in this world for the long-haul.

I do not believe the dealers are going to go back to the old ways of heavily discounting vehicles.

The manufacturers will also learn some lessons here and apply them towards future production that will affect those dealers and their sales strategies.

It is a very very crappy time to have to be in the market for a vehicle (or a home) today.

I agree with much of what you said but ultimately Markets will self correct when supply exceeds demand.

Right now it looks like the Stock Market is having an effect on car sales. I am seeing several attractively priced LCs that interest me. There are also a few that must have "Gold Plated spark plugs" installed.
