Default Markups on bespoke build allocations?

So one of my local dealers are offering me an LC500 bespoke build allocation at $5k premium.

Anyone else have experience ordering one in the US yet? Not sure if this is a norm or if I should shop around more.

I did call around a couple more dealerships and none of them had a clue what I was talking about when I mentioned the 2022 LC500 bespoke build LOL. However, every single one of the would lead the convo with “Lexus isn’t accepting any custom orders right now”

Don’t fall for it.
the 2022 will come. And the order will be open next year.
There’s also quite a number of new 2021 left.

I would just tell them to let you know if they decide to drop the premium and then call other dealers. They might just call you in a few days.

I ordered a 22 Bespoke because I liked the idea of a base car with the active spoiler. I sent it to my closest dealer. They reached out to me via email and I asked a few detailed questions about delivery time and pricing which they have yet to answer. That was over a month ago. I am going on a road trip next week to look at 4 or 5 used LC500's. If I find the right used car, I will probably just pull the trigger on a used one.

The dealers are really in the dark on these 22 coupes. I think business has been so good and sales are so easy and brisk that working with an picky enthusiast is just not worth their effort. I understand. I think I will just save myself $20k or so and buy a nice used Lexus. They don't break so why not?

I'm planning on ordering a Bespoke '22 in January. My SA said it might be 4-6 months which is fine. Straight MSRP but I'm a repeat customer if that matters.
Having a hard time finalizing the color - probably going white but Atomic Silver is elegant but perhaps a bit too subtle.

I like the regular CF lip spoiler over the Bespoke wing so I may go sans wing on the Bespoke and order the CF lip. Red alcantara, sports seats, CF roof.
I'd have a hard time paying over MSRP on the LC but hey - it's a sweet car.

Yeah this has also been my experience. I reached out to a bunch of dealerships near me and they don’t have a clue. Hopefully the “bespoke” build slots aren’t super limited and I can find a dealership to work with.
If not, maybe the two bespoke options I want arent worth all this hassle and I should find a clean used one (and save myself ~10-15k)…

Interesting, yeah I initially wanted atomic silver but am settled on ordering the white (for now). They’re both gorgeous in person so you can’t go wrong either way.
Can’t wait to see yours when it arrives!

Unfortunately thats just the Lexus experience.
Euro brands are completely opposite of this and prefer you to custom order. They even provide a track your build tool and Porsche sends you pics of the car in the factory throughout the build process.

I was expecting way too much when I heard about this Bespoke Build lol
Can’t even option it with any custom color or Dynamic Handling package.

Exactly - cannot really go wrong. And the LC choice is directly related to your username - I want one final epic ICE car before we're driving sewing machines on wheels.

Looking forward to both of us sharing here next year. Cheers!

So are buyers paying MSRP for the 2022's or dealers insist on the so called market adjustment fee around here.

If you can get your paws on a Bespoke Build then I wouldn't hesitate. Very hard to find here in the Chicago area and I think that Bespoke Edition is a piece of art. Either Ultra White or Atomic Silver and that's a beauty to hang on to for awhile. If my local SA can't get me one in the area then I'll start calling other highly rated Lexus Dealers in 400 mile intervals until I locate an SA that knows what they're doing and can score one for me with a reasonable delivery time. Feel free to PM your SA's information and I'll see if this person can locate one close by for me. A good start is at least he/she knows what a Bespoke Build is. I concur with other comments here that many other SA's don't even know what we're referring to. Instead of looking like an ***-clown simply pull up a PDF for even a 2018 LC 500 Sales Brochure and there's some information in there. But like the saying goes: Common sense isn't so common. Good luck to everyone else out there on the prowl for one of these beauties as well.
