Custom order?
Has anyone been able to place a custom order for the LX570? At least in the NorthWest the dealers seem to order only pre-determined colors and "packaged" options. I am trying to place a custom order currently and have been waiting for two weeks for and anwer from Lexus (at least according to the dealer)

Agreed. My dealer with the proper deposit will order what ever you want. You simply got to be willing to wait for it. They said 6+ months and would not be able to give a "hard" date.

OK - thanks for the feedback. I've been waiting for dealer to accept my order so I guess I can wait after he decides he wants to put the order in for me. It could be that the dealer is hoping I will just take one of their LX's on their lot and is trying to out wait me. I may just keep my LX470 and wait a couple of years.........

Hmmm, this is the first time I've heard of Lexus willing to custom order cars not within their pre-determined options packages and color combinations for their customers ......

I just got word from the dealer that they should have an answer from Lexus on Friday. So far it is not certain that Lexus will accept a custom order. They seem to have gone the route of "pre-packaged" vehcles including limited colors for each region. The dealers don't seem to have a lot of say in what they get when supply is short but since the supply has passed up the demand perhaps policies will change or have already changed. I just don't want to spend this kind of money on a car that is not exactly what I want.

N600,
Depending on what you want, one idea would be to look in different regions of the country. My understanding is that the available configurations are decided regionally.

They will build the car any way you want, but it will take 6-9 months to get, and you'll pay sticker price for it.
If you want a base, no-options LX, you can order one. But for something like that, expect a very large, non-refundable deposit due.
Lexus is in business to sell cars, and they will happily build you anything you want, if you are willing to wait for it.

Lexus may accept special orders but the dealer sure doesn't want to. They enticed enough to accept one of the LX570's in stock after we were ready to wait for 2010 models. We wanted the Luxury Package and the Pre-Collision System but will live without. Took delivery last week.
