Front Rotor hats
Quick question
What do you do to keep your front rotor hats clean? It appears after a couple thousand miles the front rotor hats turn from silver to dingy stained brown. Anyway to get them clean where they look like new again? For those of us that have lighter colored wheels the dirty hats standout

I did wonder if that was what you meant and yes in the past I have painted the "rotor hat" with silver paint. Obviously it has to be the variety that is heatproof, and I, for one, used Hammerite smooth. On more recent cars I was able to buy rotors that were coated with something or another, and they remained rust free for the 2 years I kept the car and I suspect they still are!. Shame Lexus don't appear to do the same, but I have to say for me the rotor hats are not as obvious as is frequently the case, but of course that may well depend on the wheels you have fitted.

Thanks …. In the past I also painted hats to have a clean look. Not a big deal and just curious if anyone had solutions. I may in the future pick up another set and have powder coated in black to hide the dirt better

Reviving an old thread but has anyone found an answer to this? I was deep cleaning my LC this past week (4 wheels lifted and wheels off the car) and could not find a solution for this. Maybe metal polish will do the trick? I just bought Mothers 05101 Mag & Aluminum Polish - 10 oz to try.
