Think of the traction we had on our Big Wheels, when we were kids....lol.

I take off my summer tires(PS5) end of October here and put on the AS4. But usually the car is on battery tender until April. Every now and then I move it out to the driveway. The AS4 are on there just so that I can take it out if needed if there's an emergency.
I might just put on the AS4 earlier this year to get some mileage on it. And I believe they are quieter than the PS5.
Not to mention the rubber compound in summer tires are usually hard(er), Summer compound is much softer, but does become hard and brittle as the temperature drops. The softer compound provides the superior handling when pushed. Low tread wear numbers are a side effect of this soft compound. Running summer tires at 0 degrees Fahrenheit is dangerous. An all season tire like 400man mentioned would be the better choice if you are going to drive below 40 degrees.

LOL x 10 ! Great analogy. Never rode one. I was "grown" before these came on the market. Plastic wheels resonates. Have done as much due diligence research on all-season for our LC's with reviews and haven't found a credible tire in our OEM sizes that rises to the top.

Many LC 500 owners seem very satisfied with the Michelin Pilot Sport All seasons. You just have to get the front tires one size larger, the rear size is unchanged.

Yeah, I loved my Big Wheel, more than anything.
I run the Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires from Tire Rack. Go up 1 series wider in the front and the rear. (255 front/285 rear)

I also run the Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires from November-May. Discount Tire charges about $100 to swap the summer tires for the all season tires. After the OEM summer tires need replacing I will stick with the all season tires year round. They are quieter and I don't feel like I am sacrificing hardly anything for my driving style (spirited but nothing close to tracking).

Thank you. Perfect feedback and so useful. I think I'm in Outlaw Tita's corner on going All Season year around for my drive-style. Knowing very little is sacrificed in performance pretty much seals the deal. Assume going up one size in front has no reported issues as far as you all know? And same Timado with you going up on rear? Thinking of rubbing primarily in turns or hoop-dee-doo's etc.

@Ratchett
I live in Michigan and definitely would require all season tires from late October thru mid April so may as well do the entire year with minuscule (If any) trade off Current users report zero issues with the 1 step upsize front tires. The Pilot Sport all season is available in the standard rear tire size. One could go up 1 size with the rear tires if so desired (But not necessary).

i believe installing a wider tire results in tire being taller and the true MPH will be off,,it would show lower speed than actual speed.

^^^^The 245/40/21 tire is 28.7" in OD, the 255/40/21 tire is 29" in OD. That's a difference of .3" or >1%.

Going up one size, in width, will present zero issues, front or back. I'm lowered, as well. 👍🏾
I've been driving on all-season tires, 100% of the time, for probably 15 years now. Really the best way to go here in Atlanta as we get all seasons.
