My LC500 has only 3xxx miles but someone hit my rear bumper and put a wrinkle in it so I'm having a new oem bumper being painted at the body shop and I will do the removal and installation at home. Can someone point let me know how to remove the rear bumper? I've removed few bumpers on different cars but I couldn't find any resources online for tips and tricks to remove the LC500 rear bumper. Thanks in advance.
You can access the factory repair manual via https://www.alldata.com/diy-us/en. They have the LC listed. It's not free, though ($20/month or $60/year subscriptions). I have not tried them myself (don't have an LC, yet). They have been in business for decades. I haven't found the LC manual for free anywhere online.
I know that when I had my dealer replace my tail lights (due to condensation inside the housing), they had to remove the rear bumper. Even them, with the manual and all the necessary tools and "experience" they broke the tabs - which they also had to order and replace. Wish you the best on the process and please keep us posted!
I removed the rear bumper followed the directions and did not break one tab. There is always a project within project but the bumper removal and swapping out the electric wires and lower parts was very straight forward. I'm glad that I did the project myself. I ordered the bumper from a place in Co. If I need to swap out any body parts on any car, I will be using them for the replacement parts. If anybody needs the bumper removal directions, let me know.

This kinda reinforces the fact that most dealership service departments don't give a rat's *** about being careful with our LC's. Congrats on the replacement!
I agree 100%. Most dealerships and body shops know that most people will not notice or see that tabs or screws are missing. If at all possible, I rather do the work on the car than have them work on it.
If someone hit you in the rear, it’s obviously their fault and their Insurance is paying. Why would you not take a car that expensive that someone else is paying for the repair to the dealer?
