can ya'll record this cracking sound and post a video up here?

i just wanna see if its the same as mine. Mine is basically a light clicking sound when the frame flexes, but with the top down I cant hear squat.

Seems like more of an issue with the coupe.

yep, we have same issue with top frame latch mechanism. When closed down it mostly not making any sound and it is muffled by cover of top compartment. When risen then one of the latches on left or right side may produce knocking sound. Sounds like if you would nock with your finger on door interior panel. Very dull sound. And yes coups have different sound

Has anyone attempted to tighten the bolts on the rear cross beam themselves? I know it requires removing some of the rear interior pieces to access the brace, but I'm thinking if I can do it myself, I can just re-tighten the bolts when they come loose instead of dealing with the body shop.

I've heard it's rather straightforward, so this could be a good option for me until a better fix is available...

Removing the seat squab is simple, just lift/tug upwards and it will release. You might need to buy replacement clips but they are readily available and not much money. Whilst I haven't actually taken off the B pillar trim, I have a feeling that too would be simple enough, and again you might need some replacement clips but from what I've seen Lexus don't use any out of the ordinary trim clips. Once that is done, then I believe those bolts you might like to tighten will be revealed.

I think I'm going to try this once the weather warms up, since an hour or so of my time every few months is worth not having to listen to the squeaking!

Let us know how it goes. I may be following suit. Just noticed this in my 2024 Inspiration. I have a convertible though and it's more prevalent on the drivers side.

this is one their supposedly finest crafted cars to date. If I was in your shoes I’d have an attorney call Lexus for you.

could you describe a sound you hear. Is it more like dull knocking sound, and not like cracking one described above.
here is several verts which produce knocking noice on drivers side in top compartment area which is coming from close to the rear side window.
someone said that it was latching mechanism of the convertible top. I would agree because when I was trying to shake any moving parts I noticed that from driver side the locking mechanism was moving a little when I applied some little force and sound it was making almost exact same what I hear. On a passenger side nothing moves if I do same, so no sound.
coupes experiencing a different sound, more like a crack one.

Mine is actually more of a grinding/groaning sound. Makes the sound down low in the car (towards the back) and I hear it top up or down. I recently discovered that I can push down on the car and it will create the sound. It sound like the suspension groaning, but I don't think it's coming from the suspension.

Wow, that’s something new. Did you try to look under the car?

I finally figured out how to fix the rear squeaking noise myself and it took my just over an hour. It's also pretty easy to do, even for someone who's not very mechanically inclined - like me. Here's how I did it and the tools I used (it cost me about $30 with supplies left over):

If you do try it and figure out how to detach the wire from the rear seat belt, that would make this DIY even better and easier!

Great detailed write-up. I was scared to comment since at this time I have no issues!

Given my research on this topic, it seems like this particular issue really only impacted 2018 and 2019 model years, which were all non-convertibles. You've got a newer convertible so I highly doubt you'll ever experience this particular issue!
