Default bluetooth audio does not show song cover?

when i play music via bluetooth, the song cover only shows when the car is in "Park." In other mode, it only show the bluetooth symbol along with the song title. is this right?

I didn't have an issue with cover art with Bluetooth on my RC F (although it was pretty sluggish at times), but I use CarPlay now. I'll give it a try just for testing purposes and report back.

Lexus changed this for Gen 10 & 11 systems. Showing the album art is considered a distraction......yea I know.

But I'm not sure if this is a govt. mandated thing or Lexus/Toyota is just being extra cautious.

Seems like you're familiar about the difference between the Gen 10 and Gen 11 systems (I have no clue). Would you happen to know if the supposed Gen 10 from the earlier LC's would be able to receive Android Auto backwards compatibility like Apple Carplay?

I'm pretty familiar . I'm a Lexus Technology Specialist at a Lexus dealership (doesn't mean I know everything about everything )
Gen 10 has Carplay, Gen 11 has Carplay and Android Auto. Gen 11 on it's surface is very similar in appearance to Gen 10, but it is different. I'm not sure how much different besides a different map appearance and a few other minor tweaks. Everything I've ever heard from Lexus on this subject is NO, there will be NO backwards compatibility to add Android Auto to Gen 10 systems. Just because it's similar in appearance, I'm sure the back end programming is way different. Although I'm not a software engineer.

Good to know you're a Lexus Tech Specialist.

Sucks that there's no AA backwards compatibility!

Trust me, I wish there was too. I guess the systems are just too different. Also, I try to get on here from time to time to answer tech questions. The few times I have down time at work. Because, like most dealerships, employees rarely have just 1 job.
