Default Remote Start handoff

There may have been some discussion on this before, but could not find any clear answers. What is the reason Lexas has chosen not to allow a secure handoff after the car has been remote started? Seems completly rediculous that the engine turns off when you unlock or open the door! I've heard some folks speculate that its a security thing but I'm not buying it... if I have the key fob in hand the ECU should recognise that and allow the rest of the vehicle to come alive without first killimg the engine. Even my wifes old 2006 impala can handle a secure handoff after remote start. Is there a setting I'm missing? been through all the documentation and can't find anything.
Thanks,
Harry

Small problem but BIG disappointment, I hate the cut off upon opening the door during remote start.

I don't understand why Toyota/Lexus has not figure this out yet. Even my 2019 IS doesn't have apple carplay, everything is outdated. They're falling behind on upgrading their technology big time.
