respectfully, sirius from satellite is pure garbage in terms of quality, but if it's good enough for you, that's all that matters!
I will respectfully disagree. Its a car, not a sound studio, so I don't expect it to sound like one, and sirius sounds a whole lot better than am/fm to me.
It’s not as good as what we have in my Honda Civic after only $2500 upgrades to the stock system.
But I find it acceptable for the price of the car.
98% of people are fine if any sort of system makes noise they recognize as music and does not distort too badly. Only going to get so good in such a space. The Naim system in the Bentley excels in natural character, not full blown digital like in the LC.
I have never used an outboard DAC between my phone and the car. Have subscribed to Tidal just this week and have a new Cambridge Audio Azur 851 with the best DAC I’ve had in my home. Definitely another level. Our old Klipsch never sounded so good.

Hey BIT you have the upgraded ML system (the non 915w 13 speaker)? If not I wonder how much that makes a difference? I am pretty picky with my music quality and I think it sounds very good. I do notice when I play my sons old iPOD plugged into the USB some songs sound horrible. Pretty sure that is due to the quality of the download and the tech used in the composing of the songs. Some old school Kool and the Gang just didn't have their beats mixed quite right lol
Forget about playing MP3s on a flash drive - they sound awful.
Now that's funny. Mp3's have various quality levels including lossless which is higher quality than a cd. Not that 99.9% could tell the difference until it's quite compressed.

You didn't answer the question if you have the upgraded ML?
listening to my system, i will agree. The Audio system in our LC500's is pretty underwhelming. It lacks pretty much everything in the frequency range. Reminds me of a time when i drove my parents Old Cutlas Supreme and the speakers didn't work. I had brought a portable DVD player and $5 Koss speakers for them.

sorry, missed your question, but perhaps you missed the "(ML)" in the thread title. yes, i have the mark levinson system (which has nothing to do with mark levinson, the person).
