Default Windshield Washer volume

I realize this is a very subjective question, but it appears that an insufficient amount of washer fluid gets sprayed, nah...dribbled on the windshield when I mist the windshield. Is that the volume of fluid expected and the dispersion of the fluid by the blades sufficient to clean it? I am expecting more, and in a northern climate with snow and sand laid on the roadway I have a hard time imagining that it is enough to do the job.

Noticed this on the return trip from Indy. First time using the washer fluid (fair weather driver) it just kind of "splooged" from the blade area and flowed up the blades while driving. Can say it did clean quite well (I was used to the spray type nozzle misting the windshield then the wipers operating).

yeah, "splooged from the blade area" and flowed up the blades is a better definition of what I witnessed. The fact that it cleaned surprises me. But, I will hope for the same. Thanks for your feedback!

Don’t drive the LC in the snow with sand and salt on the road.
I’ve never used the wiper nvm the windshield washer.
How’s the headlamps washer?

Another no wiper user here, even in the occasional rain I get caught in. Treated windshield makes everything much easier in the rain, haven't been caught in a storm bad enough to need wipers yet.

Can't see myself ever using the washer fluid, but I'm over here cracking up at the phrasing in this thread

Not to steal the thread, but I seem to be having the opposite problem: my side cleans just fine and the passenger side wiper never removes all the fluid from the glass. I think the fluid is flying off my wiper. Any ideas?

Rain-X, short of a ceramic coating?

I have a ceramic coating, but the speed limit in our city is 25 mph so the water doesn't roll off the way it does at higher speeds.

It’s likely not enough, especially for northern winters. Check for clogged nozzles or weak pump pressure you may need more fluid volume or better spray pattern to handle snow and road grime. Adjust or replace the nozzles if necessary.

Great reason to drive out of the city on a long cruise. Joy and fulfillment plus a clean windshield.

I wonder if the Rain-X branded screenwash would behave any differently? Plain water is surprisingly sticky stuff...

Default Passenger side washer weak spray/volume

I've switched nozzles w new , swapped driverxto passenger, and the passenger spray is always weak. I've blown air thru, no blockage, just wonder why ?
