Windshield Molding Broken Tab
Car is in the process of getting wrapped and it looks like the shop broke a tab that is part of the A pillar molding trim when removing the windshield cover molding. I knew the white clips were prone to breaking when removing this part but didn't expect them to break the tab. The tab doesn't look plastic. Was hoping it would a replaceable part, but on closer inspection on the Lexus diagram and pics of eBay salvaged parts, it looks like that tab is part of the A pillar molding and isn't replaceable unless you buy a whole new A pillar molding...
Thoughts on the best way to fix something like this so I can approach the shop? The shop currently wants to just glue the piece to reinforce but it will probably break again in the future if/when you remove the windshield cover moulding.
Photo above is my car with the broken tab. Below are reference images of what the moulding assembly looks like with intact tab.

I picked up this tool a while back, I think it was an Amazon deal or something. It’s been sitting with my other boxes of unused tools lol.

Why would the shop that broke it not replace it??
This is why you paid someone else to do this?
