I certainly am not opposed to buying preowned. however, the 24 I did drive had the touch pad....might be a deal breaker for me....how is it working out for the rest of you?
Rarely use it with an aftermarket CarPlay. Fine using Concierge for the Climate control. But I’m also used to it having experience with the mouse, touchpad and now touchscreen.

@2959 I agree! I own a '23 convertible (with the 'dreaded' touch pad) and although the touch screen addition starting with the 2024's and beyond is a nice upgrade, buying an earlier model should not be a showstopper for a true enthusiast. BTW - for anyone who has ever used a computer before (I spent 35+ years w/IBM, Lenovo, AMD), using the touch pad is a no-brainer.
I have the 21 Convertible. As @2959 says: CarPlay/Android Auto + Climate Concierge solves it.
Actually I prefer the Lexus Touchpad interface for Android Auto (I don't do Apple) vs. my other car which has a touchscreen. When you are driving on less them smooth roads (I live in the US West, so this is the norm) it's hard to hit the right spot on the screen and frustratingly often I then had to back out - again looking away from the road. With the Lexus Touchpad you get feedback when you 'hover' over the right spot. So I can interact with Android Auto with few if any mistakes. For adding destinations while driving voice control is your friend.
Climate Concierge: I am incredible frustrated with the reviews I watched on YouTube (even my favorite Throttle House). There is NEVER a reason to adjust the seat heater or neck heater separately via the interface when you have climate concierge on. Too warm? decrease the temperature. Too cold? increase the temperature. And it will turn on/off the neck heater, seat heater, steering wheel heater perfectly judged.
If you though think you know better than automatic climate controls that have been developed and refined over 2+ decades and the type of person who puts the temperature at LO then is annoyed that the fan blasts too much/loud to then set the fan speed to 2 (out of 10) and constantly fiddles with all the climate controls, then you don't deserve this car. Touchscreen or touchpad - does not matter.

I love the trackpad, test drove a new LC with the touchscreen but it wasn't for me. I'm more comfy with the trackpad. 👍🏾

Vast majority of pre 2024 owners have expressed the same sentiments. Lexus actually did a superb job with the Climate concierge system. I think in order to be viewed as a legitimate car reviewer, the obligatory complaint about touchpad-heated/ cooled seats has to be mentioned. Very few reviewers are even aware of Climate concierge operations it seems.
Someone simply reviewing the LC is not at all qualified to even speak on the trackpad. It takes a few weeks at least to decide how you even feel about operating it....lol. You simply don't have enough 'seat time' to make an educated judgement. Just my opinion, of course
I am glad Lexus dropped the Nav Pad and went with their new Touch Screen. Except you have less memory spots for Radio Stations. I have that on my NX 450+. The previous Remote Mouse is way better than the Nav Pad and they should have stuck with that instead of doing the Nav Pad. With that said, I like the LC with the Nav pad. It looks more refined and has the ambient light panel on the Passenger dash that in the Touch Screen model is just the leather/vinyl. With the Nav pad its set everything up once and then leave it. My 2018 is able to do Apple Car play, so that helps. There are a couple of settings in the Lexus Settings to make the Nav pad more user friendly like flick and tactile feedback.

I have both in my is 500 and never touch the pad....also my Acura EV has what is a GM touchscreen and as much as I hate to admit it is miles ahead if anything in the Lexus.
