Does this cause any rubbing issues when the seat automatically moves forwards and backwards when getting in and out of the car? I'd be concerned about the leather on the seats wearing down over time.

 

I put mine on the passenger side.

 

Pro Clip is the only way to go.

 

I used a vent Clip (with inductive charging) wired to center console where CarPlay Dongle is connected). I installed a flat usb cable and hid it under the center console. Lid slides fine without binding. Nice arrangement as mount is within reach, does not block anything I need to access and charges phone while in the mount. The dongle works perfectly connecting CarPlay wirelessly.

It works perfectly. As soon as I start car it connects in about 10 seconds. All I need to do is use trackpad to select car play and it kicks in. I have had no issues with audio quality or freezing up. It’s no where near the cheapest option out there but I was recommended it from someone that was very familiar with it so chose it.

 

yup that's what i got, and for my iphone 15 pro max, i attach it their magsafe elite holder... i got that one because it's not bulky and charges the phone when attached (good for a long trip).

My seat doesn't move upon entry and exit, so I can't speak to rubbing issues.

 

I leave the cup holder door open and tuck the phone behind it, just enough room.
