Default LC500 Frame Enhancements for 2025

I see that there is additional front and rear frame bracing on the LC500 for 2025. I have a 2024 convertible and would like to know if it will fit?

Thanks,

- Scott

Contacted Lexus. The LC500 coupe is receiving enhanced frame bracing. The convertible remains the same. - Scott

I seem to remember that the new frame bracing on the coupe is just the existing frame bracing on the convertible. Part of why the convertible can't get rear-steer is because of this bracing (discussed on SavageGeese's '21 convertible review), I think the new bracing on the coupe is just what Lexus has been putting on the convertible.

That is correct. The convertible already has this bracing. The coupe is just catching up;-) Technically however, there is a slight difference as I believe the coupe's is welded and vert is bolted.

This thread has some discussion on the bracing parts. It was thought the bracing is from 2024 inspiration series and can be bought.

This is from a member that has ordered the cooler for the transmission found in the 2024 inspiration series coupe and installed on his car.

I don't see how this extra bracing is needed at all for the coupe. Maybe if you track the car all the time. Just seems like unnecessary added weight.

I'm curious to see if it's a potential solve for the problematic rear brace/b pillar squeaking noise in earlier model coupes, since the noise comes from the metal braces rubbing together. If this strengthens the body, there's a small chance it could help solve this problem (fingers crossed).

That’s an interesting point. The convertible needed the addition chassis bracing to compensate for the lost rigidity provided by the coupe’s hard rooftop. The coupe was/ is very rigid (More torsion rigidity than the LFA per Lexus). So perhaps the 2025 is advancing from very rigid to ultra rigid chassis (Overkill?).

Even with the additional bracing the 2025 coupe still offers the optional dynamic handling package which includes the rear wheel steering. Maybe there’s no such thing as too much torsional rigidity for a automotive chassis.
