I have a '24 LC500 Bespoke Coupe. Just before coming to a complete stop, the brakes make a high pitch squeak/squeal. It didn't annoy me that much until I spent a lot of time in DC traffic this past weekend. I saw a couple other threads about this, but they were several years old. Is this a common issue? Is it expected? I wonder if there is a defect or if I should try different pads?
Try to show this to your dealer and see if they would do the TSB for free.
I can only find the latest one with up to 2022 included. But they’re about the same vehicle.
I had this done on my previous GSF at about 14k miles. It was free. The replacement pads didn’t have as much bite as the performance pads but I feel like these performance pads gives me more whiplashes then anything else. They’re meant to brake hard. If you drive like a normal human being, they will squeal. I drive like a normal human being lol.
My 2024 with ~2500miles also sounding like a bus when braking starting at about 1400 miles. I’m going to live with the squeals for a little longer then will ask to do the TSB. I want to get some more driving in before getting a free set of pads.
This issue has been discussed to death in many posts in many model forums. The answers are bed in the brakes properly or go to a lower performing pad like the ones on the TSB mentioned above.
Here are the part numbers if you want to get them from Lexus. Literally just replaced it myself and whenever I call a dealership parts department they have no idea what I’m talking about when I tell them there are alternative Lexus LC 500 brake pads that don’t squeal.Front: 0446511020
