Braking in your car

when i brake my car .. its always nothing when i apply a lil .. then nothing when i apply lil bit more.. then wen i apply more ..it'll be a hard brake stop.. anyone get that ? also .. does anyone feel the car's brakes are lil weak .. unless u stomp on it ? for me .. abs doesn't kick in unless i floor the brakes .. it feels lil bit weird >< then wen i apply a lil brake .. my car will still move a lil without me pushing the gas pedal.. and there will be squeaky sounds

anyone else gets this?

I don't particularly car for our brakes. The low brakedust pads only made things worse. Too much travel before anything happens. Once they finally bite, they seem okay. I've adjusted. But I don't think it's safe to have that lag time.

Low brake dust = harder pads = longer cold initial stops

Many unthinking owners buy into the brake dust is bad myth.

Kinda like many people buy into the myth that brake pads change braking distance.

If you hit the brake as hard as you can, I dont see how brake pads make it different. if the ABS kicks in anyways.

I couldnt be more happy with the brakes in my 350. my brother and his buddy both have Subaru sti's and say my car brakes better than there brembos

I went into the new low dust pads knowing they'd not feel as responsive (research done here). It was a worthwhile tradeoff. Overall, there's room for improvement with Lexus IS brakes.
