Brake Bedding
I started to experience some brake squeal upon the first application of the brakes after the vehicle was sitting for the day or night. They were silent otherwise but it gradually became worse from 1 second to 2 seconds to 3 second of noise. The brakes are about two years old and had about 12k miles, the dealer cut the rotors and replaced the pads before I bought it.
Before removing the pads and trying some extra brake lube on the shims, I decided to bed the brakes and it worked. I haven't done a proper bedding in probably a decade as the last car I owned had brakes so good it was hard to heat them up with the road I had available bed them.
