On the Nürburgring!
Car:
It's the first gen with all the options. Dynamic handling/four wheel steering, torsen diff, carbon roof, active spoiler etc.
Trans/overheating:
In sport+, transmission will go overtemp/throw a warning about halfway through a lap on the ring. I put it in sport and let Misha know the issue. I'd like to install a trans cooler like the newer models.
Tires:
295's make a huge difference on the rear but still no problems breaking traction with TC off. These are no longer runflats as well, however either the tires weren't warm enough or Misha is simply too rough as the front's were shagged after one lap with him.
Tune:
Tuned by Loi, however only a remote tune. The difference is quite noticeable, I don't have any dyno or comparison pulls, I am only guessing on the power figure at around 500hp crank. He's sent me a new transmission tune to try as well.
Lap:
Scary as hell. Honestly thought we were cooked by the first corner. But she's a surprisingly nimble car with frankly amazing brakes. Honestly, I doubt most people realize how good she really corners or brakes, especially for a big car, and the weight transfer is excellent during cornering. I have previously had some fun in the twisties with a light blue GT4 who was again very surprised.
Next mods:
-TCU tune
-Trans cooler
-LC500h Torsen (maybe)
-Possibly air suspension which I have sitting there already.
thanks for sharing your details, and your LC for the ring lap, wow.
question: do the 255/295 oversize tires make the ride more comfortable than stock size in 'normal' driving? (more sidewall)
looks great by the way... surprised the 295's don't look 'fat'.

I've done a few laps with the LC now, including in the wet which is quite a different beast. Glad you enjoyed!
Might end up making my own trans cooler then...

“Quite a big difference and the main reason I increased in size. But, that is in comparison to the runflats on previously, so there is probably more to it than just the size”
Was the “big difference “ in ride comfort or handling (Both?) compared with the stock sized tires?.
