I'm not crazy - Heated Seat on Convertible
For context, I live in FL and my seat is set to Hi Ventiliation, 24/7 and is never changed. It is not on automatic mode, the clim system is not on concierge or automatic. This '24 convertible is new to me, I've had 2 LC Coupes prior.
OK, so I swear, everytime open the top, the heated seat comes on. Not the air blowing out of the headrest, but the actual seat heater. This occurs even when it's 90 degrees out. I look at the climate system and is shows that it's on ventilation, but my back is on fire. This lasts about 5 minutes, and then returns to ventilation.
Before I sound like an idiot with the dealer, is this an actual "feature"? Does anyone else experience this? Do i have a gremlin? Thanks!

I have never experienced this and my 'vert lives with its top down 9 months out of the year here in AZ.
I never have the concierge on and my ventilated seats are always on most days.

Ha! No I am a certifiable old woman that is always always cold. But for further detail…I will be driving for 10-15 mins…all is good. THEN I’ll put the top down, and the seat suddenly gets hot af.
so check the following
under climate, make sure the seat heater / ventilator is not on auto. You can remove them from automatic by going into seat heating/ventilation function and moving it up and down a few times, then back to off.
Same with the steering wheel heating and neck heating.
I got a feeling you might have turned on climate concierge at some point and then it puts all these elements into automatic. Then when you turned off the climate controls (since you have top down) it would "remember" what you previously set the temp to, so if it was like 85, it'll turn on the heated seats, even if the climate controls are off. It'll switch back to ventilation mode when it detects it had exceeded whatever previously set temp in the climate controls and thats why you have this weird back and forth.
