Default Getting Android Auto into a pre AA model year?

Sorry for the ignorance, I'm used to cars where a double din swap is all that's involved. But, Have there been any workarounds to get Android Auto into a pre AA model year? If it's not possible, what other options has everyone installed?

Thank you for mentioning us!
For 2018-2023 Lexus LC with factory nav you can use the LEX9 model of either GROM VLine VL2 or VLite VT2 system, available here:
https://gromaudio.com/store/all-lex9_.html
Both systems offer wireless Android Auto for your car stereo.
Note there is a limitation: the systems will not work if the stereo has Audio Software Version 1031 and newer and was updated to wired CarPlay.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Awesome! What were the differences in the systems, and, this effectively gives the LC's infotainment true Android Auto?

The difference is that with the GROM VLine VL2, you can also run apps directly on the system by installing them from the Google Play Store. This gives you more app options compared to Android Auto. However, wireless Android Auto and wireless CarPlay also work with the GROM VLine VL2 system.

The GROM VLite VT2 system works only with CarPlay and Android Auto. It is not possible to install apps from the Google Play Store directly on the system.

Both systems will give the LC's standard infotainment system wireless Android Auto.

Well, after almost six years, I now have Android Auto on my 2018 LC. Cost was $50 bux. This device:

This unit converts CarPlay to Android Auto and wirelessly connects on startup. Only issue is, it does not show full screen. I haven't been able to enable Coolwalk, or it's not available. Otherwise, everything else is there
