There is an older thread regarding splash guards/mud flaps but that turned into a wheel spacer discussion.
For those with decent mileage on their cars, is there a need for it?
Anybody here installed them and which product do you have?
I originally thought about it because of the vehicle being white. Been through some muck/poor weather and such and I don’t think it would have done anything beneficial. I also didn’t want to break-up the lines/aesthetics of the vehicle. Maybe it would help with gravel damage (?), but so far I haven’t noticed anything. I’m much more worried about windshield damage.
As I said in the prior thread, I have them on my truck, not the LC. My tires are wider than stock and my wheel offsets are more aggressive than stock. I see no need for mud flaps

Yup, my main concern is really gravel damage or stone chips specially those coming from the front tires.
This brand below doesn't seem too bulky to disrupt the lines of the car.

Lou
Just to confirm that your LC tires are wider with more offset???
So for somebody with OEM 21-inchers on the LC, there would be no need for splash guards? Again, my main concern is stone chips.
