i have a 2021 LC500 and on hot start, the engine revs to approx 2500. The lexus dealer tells me this is normal? Seems a bit excessive to me. I love the car the only thing that is lacking is a great sound system! any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I drive a 2023 conv't and mine revs 'high' at first regardless of how I start it (remote start, key fob or pushing the start button) but only for the first minute or so (and then it idles back down to normal). BTW - even though I think the sound system is adequate, I'd rather drop the top, put it in Sport+ mode and listen to the engine instead.

 

The sound system is actually very good once you learn how to adjust it. There's a somewhat recent post in the main audio thread of how to set everything. Worked out great for me.

 

RPM at every start up is higher than at idle, normal for the LC. Sounds as if you are pressing on the gas.
