disable stop start system for NX
Hi. Welcome aboard.
For the smart-key system it doesn't have a physical key to start the car. Even if you could disable it, there's no other way to start it.
Am I understanding your question correctly?

^^^ I assume the OP is referring to the engine start/stop feature that turns off the engine at a stop light, for example, to save fuel. While Lexus provides this feature only on the hybrid in North America, they've been providing it on non-hybrid models in other markets. Since the OP is in NSW, I assume his/hers has it. Lexus seems to equip the NX in New South Wales very well.
To the OP, I do not believe there is a way to permanently disable it. It has to be turned off each time you start the car.

My new NX200T is equipped with the feature that turns off the engine when stopped at the lights. There is a disable button. The default means that I have to press the button after each engine start. I have found that I often get a message to push the brake down firmly to activate the stop start feature. In many instances it is not necessary to push the brake pedal down as firmly as required. The stop start feature does not activate and the engine continues to idle. The amount of fuel saved by the stop start feature would seem to be negligible. While engine stopped (in the stop start mode) with the air conditioning running, the engine restarts after a short time and idles to provide power for the aircon thus negating the stop start feature anyway.
Thanks for the comments.

Interesting that it does not have a way to remember the settings. My X3 remembers the settings but when I select Eco mode the start/stop goes back to on; I do not care much for this feature so I always leave it off [and drive in sport mode most of the time]
Note: I remember I read somewhere that when BMW equipped the X3 with this feature, it could not remember the settings, but after some complains they decided to add it

When I had Bimmer 2015 X5 there is a button to push to disable it. Until I push the button again it stays disabled.
