Just picked up a new 2023, saw this same issue with the gap/seal/pinch on the right hand side. Love the Lexus forum. Will see what the Dealership says, I did send them photos in case. Don't want to be blamed for water damage if it should happen ("you left the top open"). I say this with a grain of salt; had a new GMC Sierra that constantly leaked inside causing mildew. They blamed me for spilling milk, leaving windows open etc. It was finally discovered the third eye brake light was leaking (required rear window removal to get the replacement headliner in, all new carpet padding). Had it fixed and sold it.
Mine looks almost exact same. But I don’t see too much of a light from inside out.
Don’t you guys think it might be a water channel for water to escape. Just a thought.
Where I live water in a channel would not be good, high of 31* today. Dealer had it outside in snow/ice/rain and no indications of inside moisture. Drove around today with no noticeable airflow or noise. Opened/closed several times with no change. Had it been on the drivers side I may not had noticed it. Because of the light gap, that's what caught my attention. As LC911JEFF posted, he hasn't had any leaks since 2022. I don't know, had an IS250C and don't remember any gaps, but that was also a hardtop.
Lexus needs to issue a TSB to properly address this issue. If you don’t voice your concern to Lexus USA nothing will ever be done. No excuse for this being on the caliber of this otherwise fine car.
i know Lexus is saying one thing and your cars point another direction. To help with your opinions, my wife’s 2024 has no gap variance or spaces for light to come through. None.
We’re just one data point, but if my top didn’t fit right I would want to know if others do.
Good Luck with getting your cars fixed and God Bless

I agree with the fit, it does seem strange. Not sure if there is any adjustment capability in the lock-up mechanism (fore/aft/side) or if that would even help. For mine, bringing that side forward several centimeters would increase the seal pinch. The problem is once you see it, you can't un-see it!

This is very enlightening info, as up to this point it appeared all verts were affected, which is now not the case. Thank you for chiming in.

Good question, I have been asking those with the inspiration series on their recent posts/threads but no reply thus far. Hoping they chime in.
Went on a date with the wife Saturday and I haven’t had that much beer in awhile.
Went to her car and measured things for you. This is the worst case scenario I’m picturing. I have pictures 2 weeks ago with no gap at all. Sometimes it’s perfect, others like this. These photos are more dramatic than real life probably because of camera angles and what not. If I use a piece of paper (attached) and draw two lines for the gap they basically line up.
By my minds eye this shows 1/16 from left to right. Even with this there is no seal gap or light visible. If I open and close it, trends are it will probably go away but who knows?! Bottom line up front the top is flush with the seal and is secured tightly to the windshield header on her car. Her other convertible is not as lucky and will spend the rest of winter in storage where it belongs.
Hope this helps everyone. Have an awesome week ahead and God Bless
Thanks, wonder what the change was for the 24's since they seem to be even. I will see what happens/response at the next maintenance visit I guess. I have a feeling that if it's not leaking or creating noise they will probably not be concerned. If this is the only issue I have, it definitely doesn't diminish the joy and satisfaction of driving.

Agree, all 2024 verts seem to be even on both sides.
