Has anyone seen one in person yet? Given they're only 125 of these made, how difficult do you think it will to get one? And do you think dealers will mark it up given it's limited quantity?

These inspiration series hasn’t been really inspirational.
Besides the launch edition, these inspiration series have been sitting on dealer lots. At least in the NE. I’ve seen the 2021 version(Black everything inspired by fighter jet, blah blah) marked 8K off when it was new. Covid may have changed the auto industry and introduced this silly dealer “adjustments” or markup but the LC500 has never been any real mark up.
I don’t see the ‘24 as truly special. Maybe the blue interior but that depends on the person.
If you can get a bespoke order, there’s really nothing you can’t get in the bespoke that is in the inspiration series.

Yes to me the Inspiration series is Uninspiring... Unless you have some special engine tweak or something that really makes it stand out in the drivetrain area, I just see this as extra make up on a pretty face that already has make up on it.

Bespoke is the way to go if you are going to spend that level of money.. atleast you can pick out your own customized interior and decide for yourself whether you go Coupe or Convertible.

I understand some model years were very uninspiring like that yellow and gray one they came out with. But I really am digging the white matte and blue interior. My first choice would be USB 2.O with blue/ white interior and I would add all the same components that IS has now making it almost the same price. Tough decision.

If I were to get an LC500 today, this is the one I would get. Like you, USB2.0 is my color to get. And this bespoke LC500 is everything you can add in the order.

I personally would choose USB2.0 over the Uber special Structural Blue. I heard it’s very difficult and expensive to repair structural blue.

Also in terms of rarity. A Bespoke is much more rare than the inspiration. We know that there’s 100-125 Inspiration vehicle per year. However, a bespoke is custom order and it is one of a kind and likely less than 100 of the same vehicle.
If you want the badge, the bespoke also comes with its own badge and certificate.

There are 243 Lexus dealers in the US so only have of them can get an IS. LC500, if that tells you anything.

IMO they are only worth it if they come with a unique set of options or colors you can't get otherwise. My 2019 IS LC in Flare Yellow is ****. And the 2018 in that special blue color. But since then I can't say any of them have been too special and since you can get Flare Yellow now that color is not so special except you can't get the interior with the yellow alcantera. Resale on the IS versions doesn't seem to reflect any premium other than they generally come with almost every feature.

just wanted to point out
if you can handle a little standard math, assuming say 2000 coupes sold per model yr @ (4 interior x 10 exterior choices) 40 ea , you come up with around 50 of each, on average, which means each of our rides was made in quantities way less than
the 100-125 Inspiration and Bespoke versions ..... to say nothing of the special orderd versions, like my 2019, w/ everything but performance package, w/ HUD and LSD, which is probably one of a kind

I'm getting exactly that car but with brown top/interior. USB2.0, blacked out trim, black wheels. It looks so gooooooood

To answer your questions:
1) I haven’t, no.
2) Not too difficult if you have the cash and are willing to travel or pay for delivery.
3) Some of them will try.

I like the blue interior but the front bumper canards look redonkulous IMO. Definition of “redonkulous” for those not familiar with the term

re.donk'u.lous adj.

1. significantly more absurd than ridiculous to an almost impossible extreme; without possibility of serious consideration.

2. fitted to excite absolute ridicule; intentionally crazy and silly; completely absurd and laughable.

I have seen a few reviews from Japan of the 2024 inspirational series, here is one for example.

Not for me. I am hunting for Infrared with caramel and optional rims ; just like this.

Waiting for Inspiration
Have only seen glimpses online. We have a 2024 on order (since August '23), yet no word on delivery date...even after several inquiries to dealer as well as Lexus USA in Dallas. Has anyone received their allocation yet? Or anyone know when to anticipate delivery of the '24 Inspiration?
