In Canada and had placed a refundable deposit with my Ontario dealer for a ‘24 Inspiration coupe.
I have the ‘24 convertible that I had custom spec’d and took delivery of summer ‘23.
Love it!
Since there are only 10 Inspiration Series cars for Canada, a lottery was established to draw ten Canadian dealer names each individually awarded a convertible (7) or coupe (3).
Today I received news from my dealer that they had been drawn as one of ten to receive an IS car. The car is mine and should arrive mid-late February.
The dealer news continues that they were assigned a convertible.
Aaaahhh! Not a coupe.
I have the convertible I want.
And I don’t want a second.
If there is a Canadian customer who must have - and will buy - a ‘24 Inspiration Series convertible, feel free to PM and I can inquire with my dealership (Toronto area) if they have a second buyer (which they may have; I didn’t ask).
If they don’t, I could introduce you.
no alcantara seats...only way i understand it is you get the TOURING package...w/o all the xtra "performance" hype. Lexus is not Burger King(have it ur way).Just got my TP and I love it,,,Im not road racing anyone.. just a nice GT tourer.
There is another way - A base LC with no packages. I've only seen one, stripper, and that was back in 2019. Leather seat like the Touring package, but upholstered with regular leather, not semi-aniline leather. The only factory option on that stripper was the Torsen.
I didn't know you could get one without a package; it didn't seem that way from the configurator. But I wouldn't buy it without nice leather anyway, ML, alcantara headliner, or Torsen, so no stripper for me. The big negative of the touring package is the interior limitation of only red. Oh wait, maybe I know why. I don't want black or tan interior, so the only other option is red, and it forces you to choose the TP. The only other way to get a different interior color with touring seats would be to find a bespoke so equipped, or a '22 Inspiration, which does have the touring package, with black interior and a little bit of red, and red stitching, so acceptable. I've only seen 1 of each, but not considerable (too many miles, questionable history, etc). Will keep looking.
I find the APPEARANCE of this car truly remarkable. The thoughtful details they incorporated truly set it apart. I have a strong preference for the COUPE model. The rear carbon spoiler adds an entirely new dimension to the car's aesthetics. However, my frustration stems from the limited production of the coupes, with dealers possibly tacking on additional fees due to the US receiving only 30 coupes in total!
Initially i judged this car solely on photos my salesman sent me. Pics don't do the Deep Blue interior justice. Color appears 2-3 shades lighter in most photos (i blame lighting and camera ISO settings). As name implies, its a MUCH darker, 'deep blue' to naked eye.
