2024 Owners Check In
We've had a few threads about the updates to the '24 model. I got confirmation that my car has been built and left the factory as of May 30. Got a VIN yesterday. Car is expected to land early July. I'm not expecting it till mid to late July, to adjust my expectations accordingly. I've been *told* that it's the first '24 to land in Ontario, and possibly Canada.

R = 2024. Usually when changes like what style dashboard to put into car when its build are done they are done at easy cutoff point like model year change. It is likely every P VIN LC will have old style dash and every R VIN will have new style. Apart from some factory prototypes etc. which will not be sold out to normal customers as new cars.
Usually MY cutoff is done during factory summer vacation. New parts require many times some new tools etc. to install them. These are easiest to install when production line is shut for a while. Since LC '24 MY change is done much earlier they must have done just quick update some time in during spring. From regulations point of view car can have '24 MY VIN starting from January 1st 2023 build date. Basically '24 MY cars can be done for two full calendar years. Usual summer holiday change in July-August time allows manufacturers to get next model year models into dealers at autumn. Any other timetable is distraction but since LC production is so small it doesn't matter as much.

My car's officially touched down at the port in Vancouver. Supposedly the first 2024 for the Canadian market - I'm told Lexus Canada is giving me paperwork as a souvenir to confirm this.
It needs to get railed across the country to Toronto, and the dealer is suggesting I'll likely have it by the end of next week!

New to the forum.
Salesperson confirmed just about a week ago that my ‘24 convertible (Ultra White with white and blue interior, and blue top) is built and being shipped. Arrival at an Ontario, Canada dealer is expected for late July.
Excited to see it in person.
