I couldnt find a really good place to put the screen either as you have to manually push a button to activate the screen/camera. The button is a little thing on right hand side of the LCD screen so that means you gotta put it somewhere easily accessible.

All in all, a failed experiment
You merely found one way not to do it, if you think like Edison.

Are you opposed to hardwiring a camera to the fusebox? It's not all that difficult. Requires a little effort and a little time is all. Getting access to the inside of the grill was a bit more challenging but still nothing insurmountable.

The screen that came with my camera is on anytime the ignition is on. It doesn't require that the power button be pushed. When I need to use the front camera, all I need do is flip up the armrest. No connection time as it is always powered and no buttons to push. I don't interact with it at all other than to look at the screen when needed.

youre right wood. Where there is a will, there is a way. unfortunately my will is the lacking part. I only got it initially because its cheap but i dont really head into parking spots anyways so ill just deal with it.

I think we would all have it professionally installed if we could get it done for $751.67 ---- However, no shop in Texas has done it, and none will try it for that price.
