Which LC500 should I get?
I'm hoping to purchase a new LC500 coupe soon, but I'm having some difficulty deciding which to go with. I originally thought I was going to be able to order a bespoke build but quickly found out that these are not easy to get, so I'm having some difficulty finding the exact specs I want from available inventory although there are some close-ish options.
What I'm considering:
Option 1: 2023 sport package, atomic silver, tan interior
Option 2: 2022 Inspiration coupe, iridium, black/rose interior
Option 3: 2023 performance package with less preferable exterior/interior color combo like white/tan or white/black
Option 4: Keep calling dealers and try to get a bespoke build allocation
My ideal build would have likely been cloudburst gray or smoky granite mica with a tan interior but I can't find that combo anywhere. Options 1 and 2 are available however. I prefer the tan interior color, but I like the comfort seats of the inspiration series with the rose perforation. I'm also concerned that the tan alcantara sport seats might not age as well as the black inspiration seats. 1 has the LSD and parking assist, 2 has heated steering wheel.
One thing I'm most unsure of is how different the driving experience is with and without the performance package. I'm not a fan of the spoiler and I'd prefer the glass roof to carbon fiber, but I'm not sure if I'll miss the VRGS and rear wheel steering. I've seen mixed comments on the forum, so I'd be interested to hear more thoughts on if the performance package is something work prioritizing or not. It sounds like some people on the forum are able to get bespoke builds, though I'm not sure if it's worth it in my case given the long wait times and limited customization options. This would let me get cloudburst gray + tan interior with comfort seats, but then I would also be missing the LSD/VRGS/RWS.
I'm currently leaning towards 1, but let me know your thoughts and opinions. Thanks!

Given that my tastes seem similar to yours (dark silver/gray, sunroof, I would select #1. I wanted Atomic Silver/Tan in the used market, but bought Silver/Rioja Red because it had only 1.500 miles, so it was new. I actually love the Rioja Red interior.
I might add that a sun roof is a mandatory item. Interiors can get claustrophobic and dark without one. I couldn't care less about the carbon fiber. From a distance nobody can see the CF anyway.
And finally get what YOU want. I know you selected #1, but you are payng a lot of money for the car. Don't settle for something that doesn't check at least 90% of your boxes. If you can't find it now, just wait.

I’d think about looking at used cars too. Lexus are generally bulletproof and there’ll be more chance of finding your ideal spec even if you just include very low miles preowned cars. The LC hasn’t changed drastically apart from CarPlay and seemingly annual suspension upgrades throughout its lifecycle.
re: the perf (DH) pkg, i think if you're on the fence, you need to try to find an owner or dealer car with and without to compare.
about the spoiler in the perf/dh package, since it retracts i like how subtle it is. i don't like the giant jet one in the inspiration package.

Thanks for all the input so far! LOL it turns out #1 is sold already, so that's no longer an option. #2 is still in stock, but it sounds like the dealer wants to add 15k on the MSRP so I'll likely pass on that one as well. I gave my contact info to a few dealers who will check on their upcoming allocations to see if a gray/tan coupe is a possibility. There's a performance package white coupe with red interior not too far away, maybe I'll check it out in person. Anyway, it sounds like this is going to take some time for me...

I have the Cloudburst Grey with Circuit Red Alcantara. The color combination is simply perfect. The carbon roof looks amazing. The drive and handing are exactly what I was wanting in a car. Without spending 400,000 plus I doubt I could have landed a better car for me.
I live in the south so sunroof means more heat, so my sunroofs always remained shaded 95% of the year. I mean heck it is 85 degrees with 90% humidity for loost of February. So I love the carbon roof and don’t miss the glass. The 4 wheel steering is tight and always a pleasure from 5mph to 120mph (she is new - not broke +120 while turning yet)
