Ocher Interior and Windshield Glare
Does the ocher dash cause glare on the windshield? Unfortunately my local dealer does not have a LC500 in this color for me to experience first hand. So, if anyone can share some first hand experiences or offer some opinions, it will be greatly appreciated.
Many Porsche 911 owners with beige/tan dashboard have had issues with glare, to the point where Porsche removed that option on the 911.2. Thought it might be a good idea to check in with the forum before I place my order. Thanks.

I have sat in one and the glare is definitely noticeable, though I can't tell you what it's like to live with it. There's a guy with a white/tan LC and he commented on it:

You shouldn't let that prevent you from getting what you want, though.

Thanks, much appreciated. Besides the glare, the black interior will also require less maintenance on both the leather and carpet. My heart says go with the tan, but I might end up with a black interior.
i had sleepless nights over the interior, when i first saw the LC interior's i decided on the Tan but after seeing numerous you tube clips i was concerned that it was a bit to much tan.when I test drove the LC around 3 months ago they had a Red and Yellow LC, but both had black interior, so before ordering i wasn't able to actually see the Tan in person, i didn't want to take the risk so I went with black, which because of the numerous materials used in my option looks pretty smart. after now having the car for a month i am happy with my choice, i have since driven a LC with the Tan interior i did find the glare was a pain and also the reflection in the windscreen.
I had to take my car in for a software update yesterday as I was having some glitches with the navigation and I saw a red LC500 in the showroom with the brown interior. It is far too much for me as literally every single surface is brown. It would look much better if it was two tone with some black as well.
Depending on which exterior colour you are going for, I would stick to the black or red/black.

Thanks again for all the feedback.
I have no doubt that initially I will love the tan interior and will prefer that over the black. But how long will that love last and at what point will I start to wish that I had gone with the black interior, that's the question.

Toasted caramel interior is great and I'd be totally happy with it. You'd only get glare a few short hours of the day, I think its a worthy trade off. If you want all practicality, you can just go for black.

I own the tan interior in a tropical country which gets a LOT of sun.
Trust me the glare issue is highly overrated. The dashboard reflection is slightly visible in the windscreen but it is nowhere near as bad as you think it is. It does not interfere at all with external vision and when you are driving you will not even notice it. The folks in japan knew what they were doing when they decided to offer the dash in this colour
Assuming the tan colour is to your taste (it definitely was for me), don't buy a bland black interior for this concern alone. the difference in ambience and the feeling of luxury between black and tan in this car is night and day. This is a luxury GT after all that you're buying, not some uber vehicle where you expect someone to throw up in the back seat and stain it every couple of days, the one time when a full black interior actually makes sense
I've had the car more than a year and I still marvel at how beautiful it is with the lovely brown surfaces every time i get in. Zero regrets

In an ideal world I'd have a two tone interior with black dashtop to prevent glare and reflections but used cars in the UK are limited in number so I've gone with all-black and I'm happy with it. Do miss the alcantara from the coupes I looked at though.
