so far i haven't lost one single street race yet, thats because i am always going against integra, 90s M3, honda civic, and nissian altima? and most cars see me, they just back off. however, i have never raced a more updated car such as STI, 370z, evo( i think i will get owned badly by a modded one, same for STI), 335I.
As much i love the lexus is350, i absolutly hate the traction control and VDIM (need paddle brake dance to completely turn it off ). i feel like without VDIM turned off, IS350 just cannot beat a lot of these competitors and turning it off on the freeway is impossible. Also, IS350's engine is very hard to mod ( hard to squeeze the extra horsepower out of it ), twin turbo is just tooo much. as much as i love the IS line, i am kind of losing faith.
anybody raced a STI before? who won?
just want to see what you guys think? what are some of your racing experiences? share a few comments?
I've raced my buddy's evo 8 a few times from a roll when I was stock and walked him. I was in the car with him one time when he raced the last gen STi and he beat him, so i'm assuming the IS350 can beat an STi depending on mods.
but looking at the spec of 2010 EVO, sti both of these cars have higher torque than the IS350 and at a lower RPM also. and they say the 370z can accelerate as fast as a M3? i don't really believe that!!!! it will be just sad to see that a 370z can beat is350... which i think is somewhat likely, but iono not sure...!
mmm i don't really have any personal experiences with street racing, but i'm pretty sure the 350 would be well matched against either of the cars you mentioned unless they're modded
Nissans are overrated. I had a G35 and power compared to my IS350 wasn't the same. I don't get taunted anymore with the IS350 so i haven't raced anyone. MY G35 on the other hand was always being taunted. But i had it riced out.
350 is a fast car...but NOT THAT FAST if you compared to other cars that can get super fast by performance mods
and you already know that there is IS-F if you wanna go fast,,,and I will call that F FAST
street racing experiences.....people will probably tell you that it's DUMB and not safe....period...
haha i guess i am still in the age of you know " go fast"!!!!! MOD this MOD THAT !!! actually two of my friends are street racers, one of them beat a porsche 911 with his integra on a busy traffic freeway XDD and won some money, at least thats how the story was told.
anyways Seoul did you get my PM asking about the exhaust?

yeah i did
just let me know when you are ready...I'll ask my friend when you are ready to purchase....

umm... not to me, the 370 BETTER beat the is350, its a different car with a different purpose, its sad that the is350 owns the 350z's which are SUPPOSED to be sports cars...
Funny this thread came about, I just raced one last week at the track in my evo and I put around 7-10 cars on it which was my 11.9 to his low 13 which was my best run to date but he claimed he could run high 12's so I dont really know what to say or if he was even telling the truth since he was a kid whos mommy and daddy bought him the car.
I run 13.4s consistently. I've beat just about every car in its class and lost to very few. In STOCK form, it is very hard for any car in its class to beat it. The main difference is you also get (By far) the best interior, sounds (ML), reliability and fuel economy. If you want more performance then stock, you will need to get a different car. For me, it is the perfect blend of performance and luxury for a daily driver!
