Has anyone in here had the opportunity to race a G37 coupe yet? I hear they are pretty quick, but haven't had the chance to find out myself.

Finally got home, after reading through all the responses. there is definitely some hating going on here. i only listed my insurance price because i know people will say " HEY GET AN IS F then ", i was only trying to avoid that but introduced other issues. MY BAD!! REMOVED!!

i don't get why some people are so worried about safety, first of all its a lexus! its not

some cheap brand that you have to worry about the safety of the car, i never do

anyways regardless what car i am driving. i guess i am not just that afraid of death,

atleast not that paranoid!!!! i was once told by one of my extremely paranoided

friend, he suggested me to get one of those huge sedan benz or one of those huge big

american truck...... ( my immediate reaction was WHAT THE ****?????) his reason

was he is extremely paranoid about crashing or getting hit on freeway and extremely afraid of dying. thats just way too much


i don't know about you guys, but have you guys ever been "flashed" before? it is like

your driving and suddenly some car came up behind you and started flashing their high

beam at you, asking for a race? i get that sometimes. and sometimes you look over

another modded car, and you see this mean *** looking dude staring at you and started

to accerlerate. Then you step on your gas and made him eat dust?????


i mean i don't do like crazy illegal street race, just once in a while such as the examples provided above. but its hard to see people still do things like this, because polices are swarming around giving out tickets ( our government needs money). i lost to my friend's stock honda civic because i am a safe driver now XDDDD

I wouldn't say walk but more like a drivers race. I have beaten the HR 350z multiple times from roll and 0. Also, don't forget the IS350 does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds also and some people achieved 4.6 seconds.

From experience, I have beaten G37 from 0 and roll. But we shut off at around 80-90 MPH and pulled 1 car length.

oh i forgot to mention one thing people seems to get confused with:

1. traction control button 07-09 does not turn off traction control, and does not turn off VDIM, it simply raised the threashhold or the limit. traction control will still kick in. ( there was a recent post that has the full detail of it, i can't seem to find it )

2. 06 2IS traction control button has the limit of i believe 30MPH, before it kicks in again.

3. only the pedal brake dance can fully disable the VDIM and the traction control.

Not to sound mean but We're not specifically worried about your safety, we're worried about the other people that you share the road with safety. While you are racing in and out of traffic, you may cause other drivers to swerve or as they are trying to get out of your way, you may cause an accident that injure or kill people. I've been there where ricers in their civics and integras would give me that look, hit the ambers or rev the engine wanting to race me in my mr2 turbo. I always said "I'm at Sac raceway almost every Thursday, I'll see you there"

I've seen too many street races go bad causing injuries or death to others. Are you ready to be responsible for someone's death? Someone once asked me that when I was in my teens/early 20's.

Now it's up to you to individually decide where you draw the arbitrary line of what you consider "fast" and "slow." Draw it wherever you want and classify accordingly, the end.
