Default Squeak sound after PPE Headers install

Just recently got my PPE Headers installed. After a few days I started hearing this squeaking sound every time I drive over bumps/dips and imperfections in the road. It also happens sometimes right as I come to a complete stop. It sounds like it’s coming from underneath the front of the car where the headers are. The car still drives completely fine.

Any idea what would be causing this?

How many miles are on your car, and does it have the Original oem engine mounts?

Might be those mounts. Most ppl get those changed out when replacing headers.

Any idea what would be causing this? Could the subframe bolts be a little loose?
I've had some noise coming out ever since I got my PPE headers installed.

Is it this kind of squeaking?

Or does it sound more of rubbing? If it sounds more like rubbing, it could be the brackets from underneath the car.

No it sounds like neither of those. It almost sounds like when a sneaker rubs against the floor on a basketball court. It’s hard for me to explain.

Could be the header rubbing on something. At 160k, no way the mounts are still good. Mine at 120k were separated internally. Only way to know is to remove and check them or use a pry bar underneath to see if the engine lifts up.

Yes new starter and engine mounts are normally recommended when doing a new header install.

Most original mounts don't last past 100k miles.. Starter give or take another 25k miles to the 100k

Also age comes into play as well.

Check your engine mounts. Could be a loose engine mount bolt nut.

How do you access the top engine mount bolt nut without removing everything? Could it be done by removing the fronts wheel splash shield?

You have to remove the part that bolts (4 bolts) to the engine also. Once the mount and the aluminum chunk is loose then you can access the top bolt and separate them

But there is no need to separate these unless you are installing a new mount. I didn't separate them at all when I did my starter. I did remove the air filter box to get a little room and I removed the bolts holding the steering rack to make it easy to slide it out as a unit from the front on the passenger's side. Not sure how easy/hard that might be on the driver's side as I didn't replace the mount at that time.
