Angry ML Radio *****

Mysteriously, somehow (wife) the "tune" **** on my radio seems to have been smashed into the unit (wife's knee). I don't know how this could possibly happen (absent minded wife)? I've tried pulling it back out to the same depth as the volume **** with my fingers but find it is really on there tight. Should I just grab it with some needle-nose pliers with the teeth wrapped with tape and give it a tug? Do they just press on, or is there something that I'm not considering that I could damage by pulling on the ****. I sure hope the mystery (wife) is solved so that this doesn't happen again (wife rides in back seat fro now on, dog up front).

Thanks!

More than likely the board behind it might be broken. Does the **** still work to tune the radio channels?

Yes, it still works. It does not "wiggle" or have side to side play like it might be mounted to something broken.

Hilarious post. I say give it a tug & let us know what happens. Lake Zurich here, maybe I'll see you around.

The ***** are just plastic so just try and pull out if you have something to grab onto. I dislike the "white" color of the ML system so when I bought my new vehicle that had the ML, I swapped my non-ML ***** from my 1st IS - While I know its still plastic *****, at least, it matches the gear shifter and "sport mode" dial better All I did was pull out and push in....so pull it hard.

Advice - Keep your wife away from your gonads - If she pushes them in, don't ask help from me to pull them out
