I've been missing a black **** on my 97 ES300 radio for a couple of years now. The **** that controls the bass or treble, etc. The dealer said they would sell me one for $20, which is a ripoff. I tried to find one at a junkyard but they only have the entire radio and not the parts. Anyone have any ideas on how to get one for cheap?

 

The junkyards I've been to here in TX I've seen the stereos still sitting in the cars and you can just pull off whatever you want. I could have got those several times over in the past. Check a different salvage yard.

 

Is it really worth all the trouble, time, and cost of fuel running around to scrap yards looking for the ****, when you can get it from the dealer for $20.00?
