I understand your position, but all of our mounts had to be air shipped directly from Australia and we were limited to a small supply. This means that we had additional overhead on these parts in addition to the machined spacers. We spent a year testing them on our vehicle with EL headers and put a lot of time and labor to verify performance. We also stand behind them independently of any other warranty offered by Superpro, because we are not using them in the original application and I held off a long time prior to releasing them for this specific reason. We still do not have an abundant supply of these parts and we are limited to the supply on hand, Our time to machine washers, assembly and maintain stock does come at a cost and the investment is something that I cannot overlook with pricing items like this. More importantly, I want to know when something does not meet our customer expectations so we can work to correct it. I just wish you would have reached out to us so that we could examine the product and see if there was a manufacturing issue. I am far more interested in customer satisfaction than short term gain from a single sale. That is just not what we are about.
Thank you, Mike

It would have been impossible for me mike. What do I do with my motor and car in the meantime? Remove them to send them back and have my car sitting outside with an engine crane holding it up while I wait for you to inspect, check, and then send a new set out? I could be waiting over a week for that. I had my hands tied behind my back on that one and I needed a permanent solution and I knew it would have been a solid mount. My ISF is my DD so I needed something that same day. I was in a really bad spot. Plus I would not have put another OEM motor mount back on.

I have zero feedback on the mounts themselves, but have had nothing less than top notch experiences with Figs and their customer service.

A problem with industry, in general, is that some parts will unexplainably fail. It’s just a part of mass producing parts. Even brand new cars have issues sometimes for the same reason. That’s why it’s important to buy from a company that stands behind their products and customers, such as Figs. I personally would not hesitate to buy these if I needed mounts. My car is very young though, so I haven’t crossed that bridge.

Agreed! I've always had a great experience with Figs and their service. I've stopped by their shop a bunch of times and they're a great bunch of guys ! I like that they engineer products to be as close to OEM but yet meet the superior demands of a modified vehicle.

Also, why people put solid mounts on a luxury sport sedan, is beyond me, but hey, to each their own lol... I had solid mounts on my modified Civic Si (8th gen), and hated the vibration. I bought the ISF for the purpose of a quieter and more refined driving experience. So offering solid mounts for this platform for daily driving purposes seems odd to me. But again, to each their own.

I couldn't agree more. Reminds me of putting the HKS triple plate clutch in my Supra. I hated driving the car with that light switch action. Sold it to a guy who raced his Supra and he loved it. I had hoped for better launches because it locked up so hard, but the range of engagement was about 2mm of foot motion. No fun at all on the street, and I've never stalled any manual car as much as I did with that thing.

Before anyone rushes to any judgment I have not contacted Figs about this yet, I just got the chance to look at it after work today. Their customer service has always been great for me. This is simply my firsthand experience with this product that I installed myself.

Yesterday while driving I noticed a very noticeable noise/vibration on sharp left turns coming from the engine bay area. Inspecting the engine bay I noticed the header runner was extremely close to the frame rail, I stuck my phone down into the engine bay and saw this:

At this point I thought maybe the nut backed off from vibration but when I got a wrench on it was still tight. I dropped the front pan and this is what I found on the drivers side:

I've had some people on facebook say heat shielding could have helped prevent this.

I saw your post on FB, but couldn’t find it now. Which group did you post this?

I wrapped mine in some heat shield material before installing them on my isf. I’ve had a set on the RCF for 3 or 4 years now and also wrapped in the same material, but it’s only driven about 3K miles a year.

Lexus IS F Owners. Nice job on that wrap! I was not aware of that recommendation when I installed mine. Also, did you paint yours? the bottoms of mine were not black.

email responded to.

I think I should state that I did just get a drag setup for my rears, and IMO the loss of weight and extra stickiness of the tires may have been what caused the failure. I've given Mike more details for him to decipher what may have happened.

I wanted to give an update.

After speaking with Mike, we think that since I daily drive my car with EL headers in the Texas heat the mounts may have failed due to thermal shock. He is going to warranty my mounts and I will give them another try with heat shielding. Thanks again to Mike for taking care of me

I wouldn't be surprised

When I had my IS-F with novel headers, the heat shielding had to be removed

Within a few weeks (I'm sure it was time and mileage too, 10 yr 100k miles) my starter went out

Felt very coincidental that the heat from the headers would've caused that issue, but next time around I erred on the side of caution

For my RCF TE I got my novel headers cerakoted, hopefully that'll keep the heat in the gasses and pass it out through the rear end

Had mine finally installed this weekend. Thanks to Ron @JT2MA71 to suggest heat wrap. I will report back after I put some miles on them and let everything break in. Felt good on the way back from the shop. Very mild vibration at the idle otherwise pretty much very close to stock.
