That is correct. A lot of people who reviewed these headlights did not mention or actually show off the beam pattern on the Vlands. Most of the videos/articles mainly discussed how cool the sequential turn signal LEDs look. My Vlands just came in the mail today (they were late by three dats) and I will try to install them this coming weekend if I get time off. I will be rebuilding my OEM ones with new lenses, bulbs and ballasts over time. I currently do believe that upgraded bulbs in the OEM setup would be much brighter down the road and project a cleaner beam pattern due to the nature of the physical setup between the two headlight systems.

Save yourself a lot of headache and try to find one of the custom lighting fabricators here on the forums and retrofit a different set of projector assemblies in your stock housings and even in basic form you will already be 10 steps above and beyond the OEM Lexus IS setup.. I'm not sure why Lexus and infinity both decided to use such a basic HID projector in their most popular model being the IS and the G35..I know that the better performing projectors are larger in size which is tough to fit in certain scenarios but I've seen a couple posts where people send their lights out and have much better projector assemblies retrofitted and even if it costs a little bit more, The finished product will be well worth it

I already planned on sending my old ones to Aaron to get worked on. What I meant over time was to gather parts over time as the parts and labor do cost a lot in total. Especially when you get better bulbs and if I decide to go the retrofit route for better projectors.

Bought and installed these today, and fitment is pretty trash for me. There's a pretty noticeable gap on the ends of both sets of headlights. I tried to push in and up as much as I could but the gap is still there, I took both out and put it back in, and the gap is still there.

I got a gap on the driver side head lamp. The gap is toward the top rear section but I'm not worried about it as it's aftermarket and body panels/chassis may bend over time.

Yeah, my gaps are pretty atrocious though.

My driver side looks exactly the same way. My passenger side fits like OEM though. I've seen them either fit great or like *****. It really depends how each batch were made and the condition of your vehicles body panels themselves.

Oh, I see. Ok, well that eases my concerns a bit, any issues with water getting inside from a car wash?

I contacted him about a replacement, but they said it'd probably be more of the same.

The set I ordered had one defective. They were great about replacement. I sent them a pic of the bar code and they sent a replacement and I didn't have to return the bad one. On both sides the corner fitment was off. DS is about 95% good. PS is about 90% good.

The popular Morimotos I’d bought like day one to replace the ghetto yellow laminated ****e I had match very well... found mine on Amazon:
Morimoto Type T XB LED Projector Fog Light
Amazon Amazon

Also for the guy asking about water, my IS-F sees the free Lexus car wash 1-2x a week on average and after ~two years has had zero leakage issues. Fitment good and IMHO better than stock cut off and light quality, with at least equal output. That’s all I wanted with clean/new lenses. Yah high beams suck but sequential turns are awesome and complement the also-awesome rears. Not to mention a pair was half the cost of the single factory Lexus unit insurance had paid for, so it more than covered my uninsured motorist deductible...

TLDR; Still love em two years later!

Does anyone know if you can install these without wiring up the LED running light? I personally don’t like the wiring to the fuse box and looks ghetto and cheap to me. Anything you can do to the harness plug and re-pin some wires to make this work as a true plug and play?

Someone on here hardwired the DRLs and did not run the wires to the fuse box. Not sure how exactly they did it though?

Anyone here adjust these headlights with the left/right adjustment screw? I saw these when installing but didn't mess with them except for the up/down adjustment. The left/right adjustment screw is a pain to get to unless you take off the wheels or turn them and remove the fender liner to get access. They sit below the fenders and to my knowledge cannot be reached through the engine bay unless you have a really long socket and wrench.

Do you know if it was a post or word of mouth how you got that information? I’ve been trying to figure that out for a while with no luck.
