I swapped out the radio headunit and it was fine for a day and then it went bad again. So i'm pretty sure it would be the amp since I had the same issue in my non ML is250. It should be here soon out of an 09 F and see if this will fix my problem.

Repairing an amp is not that difficult. If heat sink on the amp chip does not have enough heat sink paste, apply some and tighten heat sink mounting. . If chip is damaged from over heating replace it Two most common issues on any amp.

Default **Update**

Well it turns out that it was the amp that was acting up on me and i had replaced it out of an 09 F that was being parted out on eBay. Finally feels good to listen to music again without any cut outs in sound. Wish I would've done this before buying another radio unit ($250) that was swapped with my old one.

Mine started to switch from FM to FM2 to CD to BT and this, without even touching the radio!!! My F is a 2011...weird stuff!!! Maybe the head unit in my case.

wow you lucked out! I've been looking off and on for nearly the past few years for an amp from a parted out car on ebay.
May I ask what you were able to pay for it?
I've just given up this week on grabbing a deal on one and just paid the $500+ finally got around to shipping mines off to United Radio Service in Syracuse, NY
Will let you know how that goes

It was $385 with free shipping but i paid extra $20 to get it shipped faster (3 days from Cali). There is another amp but the seller is asking way too much for it ($600).
