Question Recomendations

what do you guys think about mobil 1 the 1 year 20k oil??? I always had put mobil 1 full synthetic in all my cars with mobil 1 filter; now I never really go past 6k even on synthetic, no matter what! now I'm curious of what the experts here have to say?, about this new mobile 1 20k or 1 year oil? I'm sure is been out but I just wanted to hear y'all guys opinion and if is really worth it, or if it can damage or will do any positive effects or negative effects? as I baby my IS F on all, specially maintenance.

no. Why risk it? to save 150 bucks on two oil changes over the course of like 2 years? At the potential of causing long term damage to an expensive high performance engine?

If it's anything like Mobil 1 Extended Performance, it's junk compared to standard Mobil 1.

This was the latest current version of this oil when tested at the end of 2015. This oil is used by a number of Auto Makers worldwide as factory fill oil in their High Performance cars. The psi value of this oil, which came from testing it at the normal operating test temperature of 230*F, put it in the INCREDIBLE Wear Protection Category.

118. 5W30 Mobil 1 Extended Performance 15,000 mile, API SN synthetic = 83,263 psi
zinc = 890 ppm
phos = 819 ppm
moly = 104 ppm
FWIW, the best oil for film strength is Amsoil. It's just stupid expensive. 5W30 Pennzoil “Ultra” Platinum, Pure Plus Technology, made from pure natural gas, API SN, GM dexos 1 approved is also a very good oil, not as highly rated as Mobil 1, but it's cheap, available in most places, and provides OUTSTANDING class wear protection according to 540 RAT's blog.
