Default DYNOTUNE now P2119 code

Ok i had a full dyno tune done by a Reputable tuner in Sydney he has done a dozen ISF,s ran good but 200km,s out of Sydney the P2119 code comes up (I know what the codes are throttle actuator or throttle body or ecm) it did it 7 times now in 250km,s I cleaned the TB which wasn't dirty. Had it down Toyota and they are stumped and guess its the TB. my question is, is this a coincidence or is it something to do with the tune. Yes I have rang the tuner up and he says OH it couldn't be the tune!!!! but the car has run PERFECTLY for 8000km,s before he touched it. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND ANY SUGESTIONS ON HOW TO FIX THIS, Would a computer reflash fix this thanks in advance. PS I want my baby back... A throttle body in OZ is $1500 and it might not be that could be the throttle actuator or ecm or the sh#tty tune HELP.................

Hey mate, no worries Its 100% a tuning issue related to your tuner messing with throttle and torque tables. Its not your throttlebody.

Thanks RR Racing this sounds right I hope lobux is in agreement. The car only pulls the code at zero or just open throttle every time. I get 30 to 50 kms before the code happens and get full limp mode ssooo dangerous in traffic I leave my OBD plugged in to get of the road ASAP same code every time P2119 but when the car runs good it gets up and fly's 270 RWKS =360HP. RR RACING can this problem be tuned out or is it back to standard factory tune cheers Neill.

yes, your tuner should be able to tune it out. If not, we can send you a tune and it will solve your problem.

I agree with Rafi if it makes you feel any better hearing it from two people. I' came across the same issue back when I was testing the ECU tuning with SARD. I would get the same issue but only when I turned the blitz throttle control on because that would just push it over the edge. I've have yet to turn it on since Rafi re-tuned my ECU nor do I care to, I find it annoying to have a jumpy throttle.

Ok sorry for the delay but I had to put 500kms on the car to make sure every thing was fine, apparently sonny my tuner put a 2010 tune in NOT COMPATIBALE WITH 2011. It was missing low idle tables so P2119 kept coming up I was most annoyed (under statement) because I said to him "I DO NOT WANT TO BE COMMING BACK" 700KMS ROUND TRIP. and $1100 tilt tow up to Sydney so I will ring him and ask if he will reimburse me the tilt tow money as it broke down 150kms out of Sydney and he said OOH IT CANT BE THE TUNE. I am a mechanic for 40 years and I knew it was the tune, yes the car has a bit more power cheers. Thank you RR Racing for your advice you were spot on.

Damn, sorry you had to endure all of that. To have happened right after your tune was just too coincidental to ignore.

I know when i got my tune, being one of the older models, that mistake wasnt going to happen to me but he had laptop issues meaning i got a semi tune and came back the following week to finish the tune. I was happy with the result and on the road (real world), the car felt better but was annoyed having to come back a second time. Compared to your experience i realise it wasnt that bad now.

Hope he comes to the party and uses it as a learning experience for him regarding the tune differences between the older and new models and reimburses you for the tow especially as he advised it cant be the tune. i.e. Otherwise you could of driven back after the initial tune vs driving home thinking it had to be something else. i.e. It could have potentially been fixed that same afternoon.

Yes this tuner should have known there is a difference in the 2 models I am out of pocket $2000 for his incompetence let alone the stress he put me through time will tell if I get my $$$$$ compensation back. And no I could not drive it back as it was so dangerous no power in Sydney traffic just think about that for a while,,,,, and he had the same problem with another car, the same model ISF just after my car. it was in the soft ware problem it took 2 week to get it fixed. I have 40 year experienced as a mechanic and i tell him what the problem is go figure .............................
I am 350kms away from Sydney so tilt tows are cheap never again

I suspect he is feeling is a bit down low. Maybe a dab of K-Y or Vaseline would have made it a bit less painful.

Last step in the troubleshooting tree is replace ECM. If it was working before the tune and doesn't work after the tune, it's software for sure.
