Default Any precautions I should take with battery?

Hey guys, so my battery is fully dead. Any suggestions on what type of battery I should replace it with? I have airrex digital suspension and a 10'' sub in the back. Was thinking a yellow or a red top, I read that the yellow top is better for sounds. Also, I have my amp and suspension wired to my battery, is there any precaution I should take when changing the battery? Is it just plug and play back on once I get the new battery mounted in or should I just be careful and take it to a shop and have them install the new battery for me? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated, thanks guys!!

Optima's are not as good as they use to be. There is a thread just revived about "Battery died and this is what i learned." I put in a Duralast gold battery from Autozone in mine, but with all your accessories, you should go with a Kinetic or the Bosch AGM from pepboys.

get the one from pep boys, forgot which one it is, but great reviews. don't go optima or OEM, both suck

^^^^Yes, my recommendation also. IMHO, AGM is the only way to go:

None of the shops had the Bosch AGM, from hawaii unfortunately so I got the superstart AGM, tech told me it was similar and supposedly really good? Can anyone confirm?

^^^^The CCA rating (Cold Cranking Amps) of the Super Start is 525. The Bosch is 710. So it appears that the Bosch is a stronger battery.

^^^^Not what I see:

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/SSBL/AGM24/N0369.oap?ck=Search_N0369_-1_-1&pt=N0369&ppt=C0327

Ahh they have another one:

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/SSBQ/34PLT/03321.oap?year=2008&make=Lexus&model=IS%2BF&vi=1442132&ck=Search_C0423_1442132_-1&pt=C0423&ppt=C0005

But, it's a Group 34. The ISF uses a Group 24. A group 34 will fit, but it's an inch lower than a Group 24. I assumed you got a Group 24.
