All features tested and confirmed working on the SmartTap. Programming is as simple as turning on hazards, moving signal indicatior to right, left and center positions, including powering ignition on/off to hold settings in memory

 

Will the turn indicator hyperflash with this relay if I have the new 2012+ headlights and LED turn signal bulbs in the rear?

 

This relay also eliminates hyperflash

 

Just a note for those looking to buy this. After a full day of testing the SmartTap, my relay appears to be DOA. I had no signal indicators or hazards working when I went out to car today. I unplugged the relay for a minute, plugged it back in with no positive results. Plugged the stock relay back in and everything is back to normal and fully functioning. I have since emailed support at Diode Dynamics for a replacement. Hopefully the one I have was just a dud. I'll update the thread accordingly. On a side note, I have never seen a defective relay...

 

You guys should hold off on purchasing this product until then..

There is another type of this relay here:
I had the same problems as JPxMODz.

 

Yeah there are a few companies that make these. TapTurn also makes a similar relay here in Canada.
Just to clairfy, what relay did you have issues with, the Valenti or SmartTap? Also, possible solutions and outcome etc ?

I tried the Vaenti. The weirdest things-The signals worked, but no 3 flashes. My VSC and TC light came on. The car wouldn't move when in gear-like the brakes were on. Go figure. I put the $10 ebay relay back in and all is fine.

 

My IS-F started fine and functioned correctly mechanically. I just lost all signal and hazard functions. All SmartTap features worked fine under innitial testing. Then it died...

 

Dealing with these relays is like dealing with my x-wife.
