ISF aftermarket stereo
I searched before I posted and not much came up. I did read where a lot of people said the factory set up was really good minus crappy bass. However, over time paper crap cones start to dry rot and break down. A 2008 is aleeady 8+ years old. Now granted I am sure the ML paper cone is better than say a Ford Taurus paper cone, 10 years or so might not be a bad idea to start thinking. Crutchfield did a study on this. Some older ones held up better than others. Honda actually at one point used Pioneer speakers in their mid 90's Accord's I believe and maybe ealry 2000's. What is your experience with aftermarket or keeping stock?

No I don't currently own an ISF anymore. I had one with all after market so I could never compare. And actually have been over the past month waiting for some things to shore up to buy another one. Just wanted to get ahead of the game or see if anyone has any opinions on this. Crutchfield did a nice write up on this and said that a lot of times you don't even notice the loss in quality since it is so ever so slightly over time. Even if the speaker looks to be in good condition they had to take measurements on it to show the loss of sound quality. I know that putting aftermarket in my Rav4 made a world of difference and it had the JBL factory system and it also made a differencr in my IS300.
