Default 2011 ISF, What's it worth retail and trade in on 2016 GSF

I've got a 2011 ISF, just at 19k, Outstanding condition. One rim has a scratch, but I was told that we have a guy in town who hits all the dealerships to fix rims.... repair cost about $125. Your asking "how come so little miles and why am I selling." We have 2 ISFs, 2008 and 2011. I work from home, my kids are getting to be teens now and I'm thinking 2016 GSF leftover. I understand that the discount on a 2016 GSF is $18k and the ISF incentive for the airbag is $2500??? My wife drives the 2008 ISF, 21k miles .... she works 2 miles from home and we have a Acura MDX too. Any advice?

Thanks

Richard

I would not trade an IS-F for a GS-F, however if you do....sell the 2008. It doesn't have LSD like the 2011.

What is your goal for having a new GS-F? Bigger interior room? A car with a warranty? Freeing up some money for a nice commuter car for the kids?

Default Bigger performance

I'm looking for a bigger performance car. I'm thinking I could get a deal for the GSF. The 2008 is my wife's car. What car would you trade in for?

I wouldn't let the dealer give you a dime less than $32k for your '11, barring it has a clean history. You could probably convince them to give you closer to $34, especially if they're going to retail the trade. Just be cautious with miscellaneous fees, and make sure they don't manipulate the price you're paying for the GSF to make your trade value 'better'. Negotiate the sales price of the GSF first and then hold them to it once you start valuing the trade in.

I've been given numbers of 36k-37k as a trade value with retail at 42-43k, it's one of the nicest low mile garaged Florida cars around.

If you're getting actual cash value in the $36-$37 range then jump on that. Even with great miles, auction cars are selling for mid $33's and as high as $36 for an outlier. 2012-2013 at Manheim are bringing closer to $38 with your miles. Depending on how FL taxes work, you'll get a few grand in tax credit as well.

I'm in the process of selling my Supra and may be interested in it. Pm me the details please.
Looks like the sale should go through within a week.
Thanks

Default Tax friendly

yes Florida takes tradein value off sales price for taxes, so at 37k would save 2160 in tax

If I ever got rid of my IS-F, I would personally go with a new M3.

If you do trade your 2011 IS-F in to a dealer....I would swap the differential carrier with the 08 IS-F so that your 08 IS-F would have an LSD.

Why would you do that? How do you feel if you buy an 011 and figured out that your 011 doesn't have lsd?

Wow, that's not very honest!

What color combos are the ISFs? That can make a bit of difference. Are you the original owner of both?

I would imagine you could more then make up the tax credit by selling on your own. You have some sought after cars with low miles, and good shape, they'll bring a premium. For the right car, marketed the right way, someone will come from long distance to buy either of them.

As others have said i would keep the 2011, and sell the 2008. But also as you've seen you already have people hitting you up wanting to buy, or inquire.

My wife has a 2008 that is white with black interior, we bought it as a manager's car with 1000 miles on it from our local Lexus dealer. The 2011 is silver with a black interior, both cars have the Mark Levinson, nav, DVD package and the accessory package i.e. cargo net, trunk liner etc. My wife is not seller her car, she absolutely loves her car. I bought mine new.
