Default My 2008 ISF

Whats up clublexus, not new to the IS but new to the ISF. I picked up a 2008 starfire white isf last weekend for a price that i couldn't pass up. The car is quite beautiful, fast, and super clean despite having near 200k miles! yes yes i already know a car with that amount of miles needs to be taken good care of and that is exactly what i plan to do. I own a 2002 is300 as a drift car and sometimes autox and the isf is the daily. i will probably track the f eventually because its such a fun car.

I know that there was an update in 2011 that fixed suspension and gave the car a limited slip differential as well changed the headlights. i dont find the ride to be that harsh but theres always room for improvement right... my questions are What exactly about the suspension was changed? if i wanted my 2008 isf to handle as good as a 2011+ isf what all would i need to change out? Would it be best to just buy oem 11+ stuff for the car or is there an aftermarket solution that 08-10 owners typically go with?

Another thing, can anybody explain the difference between an f sport and an isf besides engine, seats, and stuff like that... what parts are interchangeable? because im looking for a drivers side mirror and was wondering if it is the same as the is350.

Mirrors are smaller on an ISF from factory.

Welcome! And how ironic! I have a MSM (silver) 02 5sp IS300 and a '12 Starfire Pearl ISF as well, lol! You have good taste!
Good luck finding what you need, but for future references, around here, we don't like to use "f sport" and "ISF" in the same sentence....😋!!

typically coilovers will do the trick with the suspension or upgrade to better shocks, f sport is just a different trim that adds suspension and body parts, F series is the real deal. i believe there's not a whole lot if any parts that are the same from a 350

You'll probably pay upwards over $1,600 to upgrade the OEM suspension. Might as well go aftermarket. Good thread to read here if you are interested.

I only paid $500 for a very good, low mile set of 2012 suspension take-offs from the classifieds here. If you are willing to look for them, and prefer OEM.
