Would you consider another promo when CarPlay is available? Since you don't have an idea when that will be, I hate to spend the money on it now and wait forever hoping for an update.
Car Play was available for beta-testers as it is in the testing/developer mode. There is no Car Play in the retail version until we pass the certification.
To get the Google maps via VLine the internet connection is needed, and can be done via phone's WiFi hot spot tethering or stand alone hot spot with data plan.

Very nice! Can't wait till the Gen 6 beta is over with, curious how long are they in beta for (2-3 months)?
For those who will be receiving yours soon... can someone make a much more in depth video showing the unit with various apps (pandora, spotify, maps, etc etc). Android and iPhone videos would be great.
