anyone getting the grom vline?
After I checked the firmware now it's stuck back at the Vline startup screen like it was before.
Started up the car 4 more times and it finally came back to life. Any ideas why? It seems to have a mind of its own.

I am almost done my installation of the vline 6 for 2012 ISF, I have 2 questions:
1. Is the microphone required ? What is it purpose, can't vline use factory microphone. The recommended installation location is on the passenger side.. wouldn't the driver provide a clearly signal for Bluetooth phoning. I know it will be hard for wiring.
2. The GPS mount recommendation is in the glove compartment.. I was thinking in the Dash/vent area. But I am concern with the heat from the vent. Where would it best be located with good signal and not visible?

Before you do anything with the GPS antenna I would recommend you test it while driving in different locations. I am hoping once they fix whatever is going on with an update that I can leave it in the dash out of sight. With the way it is now I had the same reception in the dash and on the roof. So ultimately I won't know if the in dash installation will work till they send it the next update to fix the wonky behavior. I'll keep you posted if the update fixes it and if so where the antenna works.
thank you. It is the Gen 6. Red light is on. GPS test app shows no connection to any satellites. Tried to do an AGPS clear and update through that app but still a no go.
Definitely worse than mine. Did you OTA update anything yet? Mine had an update avail right out the box.
I did update right after I installed it. Looks just like the picture you posted above. I really hope the new firmware fixes it. I ordered this way back in February and just got it today. Kind of a let down after waiting so long.
Same here. I did the pre order as well. Already planned for there to be issues based on this thread. So we'll see!
Yes.. another Gen6.. No Navigation.. that 3 users.. I think everyone who has Gen6 will have no functional GPS. Does anyone who just recently installed their Gen6 has GPS working?
