Didn't take long, damaged one of my wheels on my 2011 USBM ISF (pretty bad), looking for advice on wether to get it repaired or replaced via insurance. I have Statefarm and they say they will replace, my deductible is only 100.00, i think it will go under collision so a little worried about having an "accident" or it being reported to carfax.
If i chose to repair it has anyone had good luck repairing and ISF stock OEM wheel? In a perfect world they would replace all 4 and I could chose 2012+ wheels ;-)
As long as the wheel isn't bent (is still true) it can be repaired by someone who knows what they are doing and you won't be able to tell. When I still had stock wheels, I had a catastrophic blowout and when slowing down my F, I rode on one of my front wheels for quite a bit before being able to stop. Chewed the rim up pretty good. I had the wheel repaired by a quality shop ($100.00) and you couldn't tell.

My concern with the repair was the paint would not match and that wheel would come out differently then the rest? Is that something to be concerned with? I would say the wheel is not probably as bad as a wheel driven on with a flat tire... Wheel is not bent at all.
I wonder if the 2011 wheels are as pricey as the 2012.. If so, State Farm will faint. Be sure and keep the old wheels , even if you have to pay the salvage fee.
I priced these 2012 wheels at Lexus. Brand new $2,000. to $2300. each... $175 to refurbish them with a guy they had there who said they would come out great. But the color could be a little off is what would worry me.
Another place said the 2012 wheels could not even be refurbished.
This tells me that after all 4 are refurbished , they would all look alike. Ha!
Evidently these 2012 wheels are a lot , lot higher quality than most of these aftermarket wheels I am seeing.

From what I know all the ISF wheels are the same BBS forged, and @2000.00/ wheel, I think is the same for every year of IS-F. I may be wrong, but may someone can chime in, but i think they're all the same, and same quality from 2008-2014 just different look?

I ate the curb like an aligator a few weeks back... so bad the tech came out and asked what happened when i went in for an oil change.
150$ and an hour later and the wheel looks new. they matched the color perfectly ... saved me from having to make an insurance claim ... try the rim repair guys at the dealer first ...
I literally just hit a curb a month ago (right after having all 4 refinished). Bent the wheel beyond repair. I almost bought a wheel but seeing as one wheel was $2100 I opted to just go aftermarket. I called insurance as I was afraid I might have bent something which I did (lower control arm). If it's repairable I say go for a wheel repair shop otherwise insurance. Hope that helps
My F had 3 curbed wheels when I bought it (dealership wasn't careful), had all 3 repaired for $150 and they look perfect now. +1 for getting a professional to fix them
Had minor curbage on all 4 repaired @ Lexus of Seattle for around $650 shortly after purchasing my car last year. Previously had OEM Toyota truck alloys with a bit more damage done by a different vendor for $100 per wheel. I think both sets look great, & all balance out well.
If you want them to perfectly match, you usually have to have all 4 done at the same time.

The repair color on my refurbished wheel came out exactly like the other 3. You couldn't tell the wheel had ever been repaired. When I sold my wheels to an IS350 owner, I pointed out that the wheel had been repaired, but the buyer said he couldn't tell. Again, if you pick a good shop, you'll be golden.
Interesting, so I can expect my local Lexus dealer to go a good job with this for ~700? The previous owner(s) curbed my wheels a bit and have a chip here or there from debris (it's not terrible, but its really noticeable when the wheels are clean), I was estimated $450 at a local shop that does wheels and wraps.
