Subframe Alignment in Los Angeles?
Got my headers installed and sure enough, I got the dreaded rightward drift. Alignment was done and my camber is off: -1.2 drivers, -1.4 passengers side. I think I need to get my subframe shifted to the drivers side a bit, but I can't find a place to get it done. Anyone here from the LA/OC area know of a place that would be able to properly adjust the subframe?
back when i had my g35 one of the alignment guys at Stokes Tire Pros in santa monica was able to perform a subframe shift. fixed a nagging drift i had on that car. that particular mechanic doesn't work there anymore so not sure if one of the other remaining guys can do it.
Should not be that hard to square up the car. I believe a good alignment shop could handle it. I might try and find someone who does race cars. I also know there are few old school shops that do it the hard way.
Maybe while they are at it, they could do both the front and rear sub frames.
I did it once before, on an other car, by loosening the sub frame and measuring the squareness against the position of the frame rails. Didn't know if it would work, but it did. There were also guides where the sub frame attaches to the frame. Used a really heavy duty screw drive to move the subframe as needed to square everything. Once squared, tighten as needed.

Well, got my subframe adjusted by Lex MasterTech in Pasadena. They said there was very little room for movement of the subframe, literally maybe only a couple of millimeters. The rightward drift is minimized...there is still some right drift, but not as much. So I highly recommend them for alignment as well as other maintenance needs. Their contact info is below:

what are your caster readings? that camber is not going to make a different for a drift.
not sure if lexus makes adjustable bushing brackets for the isf, but for the is350/250 they do. i'll look into it and let you know.

All the 2IS bushings are the same. If you need bushings to fix caster, you got a lemon.
So apparently you can order different caster bushing bracket from lexus. i have never done this myself but i think its possible.
Here are the specs. I got it off the hunter alignment machine. By getting the specific caster bushing bracket, that should help with the pull, unless you have a tire pull. usually to fix a tire pull, you can just cross the front tires, but they have to be non directional. Hope this helps.
